Webinar that you do not whant to miss

Many of you do not care about what happens behind the screen when you design. Most of the times when i receive question people want an answer not and explanation and i understand that not all questions need explanation.

However i must say that overtime time i have been proven that in many situations if designer could understand and know what happen instead of only looking for a solution, many questions would not have been ask.

So when i saw this ad for a webinar about CAD kernel from Siemens i though you should give a shoot and take a small peek at what happening when you model

Siemens PLM Connection 2010 event

Conference Logo with ribbons

As announced Friday, a new location and date have been set for the upcoming Siemens PLM Connection 2010 event:

Where: Sheraton Dallas, Dallas, TX (Hotel Information)
When:  28 June – 1 July 2010

In looking for new venues, the most critical goal to achieve was to preserve the total event cost for the attendee.  We are pleased to announce that not only does the attendee have more flight options into Dallas than Nashville; there was also a negotiated $119 daily room rate with the Sheraton – a $60 per night savings over Nashville room rates.  For more information please refer to: http://event.plmworld.org/hotel-travel/hotel-information/. PLM World will post the link to the  housing site here by the end of the week. All attendees will need to rebook their hotel reservations at the Sheraton. For other questions, please read below:

Frequently asked Questions and Answers?

I was registered to attend the conference in Nashville. What do I need to do to register for the conference in Dallas? There is nothing that you will need to do.  The registration will just transfer to the rescheduled event in Dallas.

What do I need to do with my hotel reservation? All attendees will need to rebook their hotel reservations at the Sheraton, a link will be provided on our Hotel Page by the end of the week.
If I wasn’t booked at the Gaylord, will my new hotel reservation transfer? No.  All attendees will need to rebook their hotel reservations.  Remember that there is a savings on the conference registration price when the conference hotel is booked.

If I wasn’t booked at the Gaylord, but would like to now stay at the conference hotel (Sheraton), would I be able to receive a refund of the difference in the conference registration price? Yes, when you book at the conference hotel, we will reimburse you the refund of the conference registration price difference.  Please contact Experient Customer Service toll free at (866) 229-3691, local at 301-694-5243 (W Maryland: Silver Spring, Frederick) or by email at plm@experient-inc.com.
Will PLM World help me for having to change my flight plans? PLM World has worked very hard to negotiate a lower hotel rate (~$300 over 5 nights savings) to compensate for the change in travel.  We certainly apologize for having to change the event, and have done everything possible to minimize the total conference cost.

Are there any other changes to the event? The schedule may have some minor changes with the shift in dates, but the breakout sessions will still occur, and no major changes to the agenda are anticipated.
What if I can’t attend the event on the new dates? We will allow a transfer of your registration fee. If you are unable to transfer your registration to another employee, PLM World will reimburse you 100% of your conference fee. In either case please contact Experient Customer Service toll free at (866) 229-3691, local at 301-694-5243 (W Maryland: Silver Spring, Frederick) or by email at plm@experient-inc.com.

Sincerely,
PLM World

PLM World Announces

Our thoughts are with those impacted by the devastating floods in Nashville, Tennessee and the PLM World board has decided to “relocate” our Siemens PLM Connection user group conference to Dallas on June 27- July 2.  The overwhelming feedback from you, the user community, was to continue to have the conference this year and preferably in the next several months.  We are very pleased to announce that we have set a new date and location for the upcoming Siemens PLM Connection 2010 event:

Where:  Dallas, TX
When:  27 June – 2 July 2010

After looking for other event sites in Nashville during the same time, we were encouraged by the Nashville tourism office to go elsewhere because of the sustained damage, cleanup and needed reconstruction effort.  We are currently in the final stages of signing the contract with the hotel in Dallas and will let you know early next week once the contract is in place with the exact details. Your registration will be maintained but you’ll need to rebook your hotel which will be on the site once we announce the venue. In addition, we are also allowing you to transfer your registration to another person if scheduling is an issue.

Please watch for another communication early next week.

Thanks again for your support.

Sincerely,
PLM World

Internet Slang Words and Computer Slang

InternetSlang – Internet Dictionary

On this site you will find a list of slang terms, acronyms and abbreviations as used in websites, ICQ chat rooms, blogs, SMS, and Internet forums – a complete dictionary of slang.
There are many such internet slang words in use, some are more widely understood than others, and new ones are evolving all the time. This list is large but inevitably incomplete; however it contains the more commonly used slang words and slang terms. 4420 acronyms are listed at present – if you know of another that should be here then please add an acronym.
Note that a few of the internet abbreviations stand for phrases containing words that may be offensive to some people. In those cases we have substituted asterisks, or similar, for the internet slang words in question.
