From Solidworks blog out there, many mention the new slot tool.

What tools is available inside SEwST that could be related to this.

Slot tool are implement thru symmetric offset

First
User identify the plane where the slot need to be machine

Second
User draw/layout the shape

Third
Geometric constraint are place the give mechanical behaviour

Fourth
Dimensions are add to control how the slot need to be modify

Once profile is constraint, “Symmetric Offset” help user apply characteristics.

From here it would be a good practice taking time to copy/paste into a library those frequently use shapes
