The big bang
Launched in 2009, The Big Bang: UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair is the UK’s biggest single celebration of science and engineering for young people and aims to celebrate and inspire them.
How big is the Big Bang
The event attract 22,500 people, including over 15,000 children and young people and 4,000 of their teachers, parents and guardians.
Big Bang involve over 150 organisations from across the private, public and voluntary sectors, and reaching out to schools and students across the country.
The Big Bang also host the finals of the prestigious, National Science & Engineering Competition. This engineering competition saw 349 competitors presenting 190 award-winning science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) projects
