Opening large assembly – Part2
Open large assembly – Specific volume
It can be useful to define a set of components in an assembly based on the volume of space the parts occupy. The Zones functionality on the Select Tools page in Solid Edge allows you to define a rectangular volume of space based on one or more assembly components you select. You can then use that named zone to select, display, or hide all the assembly components that are contained within the boundary of the zone.
Open large assembly – Display configuration
You can save display configurations of an assembly and exploded views of an assembly.
When you save a display configuration with the Display Configurations command, the current display status is stored so you can use it later.
One of the unknown possibilities is the use of the configuration when placing a sub assembly. Using this we can define tmany configuration making easy to insert a sub assembly by displaying only parts relevant to the positioning.
